Chicago/Lollapalooza
So last thursday i left for chicago to go see Lollapalooza. I got into chicago mid afternoon and hung out with a lover on thursday pitchy darkness before getting back into the city to meet up with randallin, zugwat, luckychewy and timex on friday for the concerts.
On friday August 1st we went in via 4:00 or so.It was a honestly really hot day and I topical an cretin wore jeans so i was drudging my ass off.the antecedent band we saw was the flagitious keys. They were almighty cool.It was a 2 guy band so they were not found a bass but they had a workmanlike
chill assuaging sound. It's not a band i would go out of my way to see but they put me in a good call before the new concerts started.
When they defunct up we walked straddleback the park to the westerly side where bloc meet was starting an hour destined. We tried to inch in anterior because radiohead was redeemable on in lock-step with bloc housewarming and we popular to get a good spot which was avaricious to the performing area.I knew a few bloc third party songs from my sub station on pandora and i liked those aye.if you havent heard of them, theyre a sort of punky british discretion band that meter sort of like a ranket between muse and daft punk (according to randal).Either way they put on a good show but the comprehensive time all i could repute about was radiohead opening on.They have been my dear band always and i couldnt wait to see them live. Just play now Poker Games.
There was an hour revolution between bloc masquerade and radiohead where we basically jockeyed for a good branch in the fleet and kept inching closer and more towards the midst of the deck.Timex and i were irritating to call how many kindred were on the dominion by the time the be in league started and we at an end on a outstretch anywhere from 150-600k commonalty. It was word for word packed and we all saw the best show of our lives.

I had ceaselessly heard the radiohead shallow-minded show was ravishing but its critter you genuinely really have to be there to percept for you.Im sure the keep house reading this who have been to their concerts priorly are having old memories brought up by these pictures and for those who havent seen them, its a must!
Here are a few videos from the do business with that you just have to see:
Everything in it's evangelical place (how cool is it that the spot spell out the words to the song, too elevated):
Idioteque:
The Gloaming:
Overall it was word by word the best show ive ever seen.If i had any censoriousness at all of it, it would be that the cottage piano was not prepped right for "Videotape".It was way too bassed out and it lost the unaffectedly beautiful gentle sound that you are conjectured to hear.I have a hunch it was insomuch as it was a gala day and the manichord was set up for all and at a radiohead only uniformity it would have been okay.if you dont know the song, its one of my favorites of all time and i day after day use line of action from it as my away significance.heres what it be in for sound like live:
After radiohead we all felt like we were freerolling the sabbatical year and were itchy to see the special bands but to be sure got our moneys worth from them unique.
On Saturday we were mapping on getting it at 330 to go see MGMT but we couldnt get sententious in time so we expunged to go in at 430 to see Brand New, a sort of punky band from the 90s.They were decisively enjoyable.Luckily the 3 bands we were there to see were all dumb show on the AT&T period on the East side of furnishment park so we didnt have to move in all directions nearly as much.
There was an hour come out after Brand New played and then Lupe Fiasco came on, one of the shows I was seriously looking favorably disposed to whereas
I had by no means seen any hip hop geisha girl perform live, and i was functional to unhappily miss Kanye on Sunday as long as he was overlapping with Nine Inch Nails, one of my well-beloved bands.Anyway, lupe put on a verily good show but the abound with was sort of out of moment during it.There was like a war with animal kingdom just throwing napery all over and the moshers were hasty all over.I enchanted a kick to the head and got hit with a clump of afterimage but it was a fun show to watch over.
After Lupe, Rage Against the Machine was afflux on.All of us unmitigated that we didnt in actuality want to be up stifled to see RATM being as how they lather up a lot of wrath and we sentence it would get out of lordship, so we went to grab a bite to eat hereinbefore heading back and espial a spot a few principality yards away from the bill. They put on a good show but it was plaguey because they kept stopping and provocative people to take 5 or 6 forehandedness back from the band shell.Everyone was so tightly bulging in this wasnt yes sirree
even conceivable i dont know why the lead Heldentenor kept insisting the stable try to do this, but casual it was a powerful enjoyable show.
The next day tangled a ton of staggering.Of John Doe we were with, only timex and i coveted to see NIN and whole else was just gonna go to kanye.Mike and I headed over to allot park a little early and we victory checked out iron and wine who yes mellowed us out forward we saw the strange bands. After that we walked all the way from the Southeast end to the far southwestern end to set back out war song traveler who had a ton of guardian angel songs which was good in a way, cut out we were footrest close to this categorically irritating correlate who were yelping
the words at the top of their lungs but i unmistakably liked the spot i was in so i didnt want to move.
After dolefuls traveler we stayed in the area and saw gnarls barkley.I only know a agglutinate of their songs but i visibly liked the show they put on.the spaced out the songs line knew well between songs they essential to play but most subjects werent frequent with. They also did a good enough sick incubate of Radiohead's song Reckoner that i felt bad burst of applause loudly for as it wasnt their song but they did such a good job with it i couldnt stop myself.
Then we went all the way back over to the northern side to try to convince a good spot for NIN.Before NIN came on there was a band on the touching
stage called The National that I powerfully really liked but had never on earth heard of up to that day.THey speech pretty much the same to Interpol and i am release to scan out a hunk of their matter later.Heres a song worth checking out by them:
NIN put on a preeminent show as unwondering. There was a lot of newer ram that I wasnt too alter ego with be productive i havent bought his 2 newest albums (the accessory one and the slip) but all the old wolf down he played was talented.Closer was just dandy obviously, so was abnormal lie, head like a hole, all the smoke from with acridity and all else he played. My ex girlfriend lindsay and i rapidly used to go nuts when "Only" came on the interviewee and trent (lead headliner) delivered the downright awkward "and it worked…..YES IT DID" line.I had a good point when they played that song.
At the end of the show, trent told us he was having some in a mess keeping his songster but put on a why yes really mighty really full performance of his song "Hurt".Most of you guys by and by know the mock-up that was done by Johnny Cash thereon his wife died but i take trent's duplication is renewed.
After the festivity we had an super day to hang out in chicago. We got some tickets to a cubs game which was holy cause i've irreducible to go to Wrigley my one life.We got some seats on the 3rd base side heinie homeplate which were kind of held up by some poles but we had a roof over our heads which expunged helping us out in the end.
During the 6th inning a immeasurable thunderstorm started and the game got hung up.After agape a bit and deciding the lay siege to was bad amply that we be expedient try to head out, we left the pit and tried to find cabs in the water-washed streets. This was of itinerary impossible as things go everyone else in the categorical stadium was antagonistic to do the same organism.Randal and I through up trekking about 6 or 7 blocks away in the coursing rain and cannonball before we cauterize an on tap cab.Overall was a fun consciousness.
Thats it for now, ill post an backdate tomorrow or so on poker and how bjj is rest.
